I would fast rather than eat this particular product.It contains very little meat, and very few peppers, and consistsprimarily of white rice. It is very heavily saltedIf one wishes to purchase it for a backpacking trip, or emergencyuse, I would suggest that they try it first.

Try a different AlpineAire option!
I love several other AlpineAire entrees, but not this one! I realize it is a pepper steak meal, but they overdid the peppers and onions. Some might be fine with it, but I prefer something a little more plain when I'm camping. I'd recommend their stroganoff or wild tyme turkey any day!

A Good, Hardy Meal
We have lots of AlpineAire foods in our camping gear (about two months worth). Most of it we've had for a while. We realized some of our foods were going to bad so last night we started eating them for dinner. This is the one I had last night. I thought it was pretty good. A very even blend of peppers and steak.I hadn't had this one before, and we'll definitely be replacing it.The meal was very filling. The serving size for one pouch is for two and they mean it. I'm a pretty big guy (6'3", 256lbs) and I was stuffed after eating my half.
