It actually was Caso1000 modelIt’s a quality product and I have enjoyed a new way of cooking. Love this quality product. Food comes out perfect with proper temperature settings. Wish I had a Caso cookbook too.

Works great, not sure what the other reviewers are on ...
Received as a gift. Works great, not sure what the other reviewers are on about. I have been cooking sous vide meals with this thing two or three times a week for several weeks now using recipes from websites and from friends with culinary expertise. Great fun, but takes a little practice! My only complaints would be small tacky-tack kinds of problems: the alarm is very soft so you can barely hear the beep from another room when the cook time is complete, and the machine still functions even when the drain valve is open so I have occasionally let 5 liters of water slowly drain out onto my counter... That's just as much my fault as the machine's though! All in all my experience has been very good, I enjoy mine very much.

Purchased this unit from Williams Sonoma with a work gift card. Worked flawlessly for one year and 6 days, then the pump went out. Obviously not designed for long term use and customer service is horrible. Contacted WS and they are no longer carrying this manufacturer due to complaints. Another paper weight for the review list.

This is a 4 star product when it works. ...
This is a 4 star product when it works. We did 12 eight ounce filet's once and was able to sear them quickly after on my big green egg and it was flawless. We used it maybe 20 times in a 8 month period before it died. Now it turns on but it just won't start.I give it 3 stars because contacting the company is seemingly impossible to discuss returns and its REALLY expensive. Should be bullet proof for that price. Also it needs to be bigger to move up from 4 to 5 stars in my opinion.

Temperature setting didn't work - but good design
Got this at Williams-Sonoma. Used it the next day to cook a duck. I never cook duck, and figured since I had the sous vide cooker I'd give it a go. I carefully butchered and trimmed the bird, then rendered the trimmings into a pint of fat and snacked on the cracklings. I put the leg quarters, breasts, and wings in the fridge overnight. The next morning before work, I filled up the unit and turned it on and it shortly commenced to gurgle. I set the temp for 165. The temp flashed 175, 150, 120, 175, etc. It was very confusing, but I figured the thermometer must be near the water heater. Concerning circulation, there was no constant movement of water. Instead, the water moved a bit when the heater would gurgle. I used four bags, with a breast and a wing together, and a leg quarter, with rosemary, a slice or orange, salt, and pepper. I then went to seal the bags. The sealer didn't suck air at all. The button beeped, but no air flow. I tried holding the button. I turned the machine off and tried the vacuum without having the cooker/heater on. Nothing worked. Luckily I had a hand vacuum from my ziplock vacuum bags. That worked on the Caso bags. The temp was about 145 when I left for work, but I put the four bags in, and set it at 165 for 12 hours. During the day, someone tested the temp of the water for me and it was 155. The unit displayed 175, he said. When I got home, I tested the water temp with an expensive digital instant read thermometer, a cheap analog semi-instant thermometer, and two candy thermometers. All four thermometers read 150-155. I removed the bags of food and took the temp again. Same thing. The reading of the unit fluctuated between 155 and 175. I think if I was going for rare steaks, there would be no good way to be precise. Something is not working right. The duck was fine, however, and we seared it in a pan anyway and made a good sauce. We all liked it. I then called the California customer support number in the booklet. They gave me another number for sales and technical support. No one answered that number, but it let me leave a message. I did so, and no one called me back yesterday. Hoping for a call today. I would really, really like this unit to work. I think the overall design is right, particularly the timer, the drain hose, the size, and most of the controls. The timer is a little confusing and even the Williams-Sonoma video shows the actress say it is set for 30 minutes (while she says it is intuitive) and she actually has set it for 30 hours (30:00). Hilarious. Anyway, that's a minor issue. If the thing worked as designed, I'd keep it no matter how difficult the controls. But I am not interested in having to calibrate this unit rather than having it hold the temperature I set it at. I'd even ignore the vacuum not working because I can do that myself. Giving it a 2 because it didn't work right out the box.

Abysmal customer service, no warranty support in the US.
Broke after 12 months. Warranty support in the US is non-existent. Now I have a $400 paperweight.
